PORT ORCHARD, WA­ The County Commissioners are seeking applications from local residents with interest and experience in food production and farming, food distribution, sustainability, and the “buy local” marketing concept. The 15 member Food and Farm Policy Council is being formed to develop partnerships with local communities, businesses, agriculture and governments and to collaborate with ongoing efforts to develop and sustain a vibrant food system that supports healthy people, communities, economies and the environment. Council members will be tasked with the development of integrated and sustainable food policies and actions and will advise the County Commissioners on issues of food production, distribution and access in Kitsap County.

He is also an angel investor in a software company, a children's toy product development and sales company, a biogas energy company, a CSA member and a pastured poultry operation on an Olympic Peninsula certified organic farm.
