The Seagull calling contest is part of the larger Kitsap Harbor Festival which has grown into a large and very fun celebration of the Memorial Day weekend. Work by artists like Robin Lynn and the people who provide events like the festival, product vendors and entertainers are good examples of what buying local can mean to our community to produce a unique cultural identity that has value for us and our neighbors and draws visitors and investment to our area because it exists.
