2009 KCAA Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting of the KCAA will take place on Tuesday, November 10 from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. Voting will take place by the members for a new slate of candidates running for board positions. The candidates include:

* Scott Hall of the Legacy Farm Project
* Peggy Hall of the Legacy Farm Project
* Tawnya Hayes of Minder Farm and Minder Meats
* Chris Plemmons instructor in the Olympic College culinary arts program and co-founder of Two Snooty Chefs, a value added food company
* Jade Pope of Jade Agritech, an agricultural service company
* Jill Marie Smith a recent law school graduate from Wisconsin
* Jeff Waite of the Harbour Pub and Pegasus Coffee House on Bainbridge Island

* William Looney farm management consultant
* Jim Freeman associate broker at Coldwell Banker Park Shore Real Estate

Nominations for board positions will remain open until November 3, 2009. Persons interested in seeking board positions should contact jimfreeman@jimfreeman.com

Refreshments will be served. Candidates and members will have the opportunity to discuss priorities and programs for the KCAA for 2010.

The new board will be making formal decisions on priorities and operations for 2010 at a board retreat to be held in the first 2 weeks of January 2010.
